In the center of a hurricane there is absolute quiet and peace. There is no safer place than in the center of
the will of God. –Corrie Ten Boom
Life can be like a storm, but all
of us in that storm need to remember Jesus calms the storms. I am always very honest on this blog and I
need to share with you that the last few weeks have been quite a storm. I believe in what the Lord can do and in who
He is. It is because of this faith that
I keep on going. I believe He has placed
this burden for international missions on my life and that He is rapidly moving
to accomplish His purpose. So, I keep
going forward one step at a time.
As most of you have heard I passed
my oral theological exam; thanks for the prayers. To say the exam was difficult is an understatement
and to say I did well would be not telling the truth. I am grateful that the mobilization
coordinator for ABWE heard my heart and blessed that two of my pastors were
there as friendly faces in an unknown and scary process. I have a lot to learn and I know God will
help me in the understanding and illumination as I move forward. The preparation for the interview was a
stressful experience topped by the interview itself. I did not have a peace about things, but as
one of you pointed out Satan loves to attack when he sees that big things for
the Kingdom of God are going to happen. As I have had a little time to reflect now I
have a peace and I am confident this is where I am supposed to be. You would think after the interview I could
have breathed a sigh of relief, nope.
Then, the emotions and stress of all that has to happen before I leave
and the fact that I will be leaving all of you set in. I praise god for the internet, but it isn’t
the same as seeing many of you on a regular basis. Ok, I am not going anywhere for at least 1 –
1 ½ years so no need for me to get too emotional yet.
I am finally rested and recovered
from the last few weeks and getting excited about the next steps which will
include 2 ½ weeks of training with ABWE and a formal recognition ceremony. God has provided me assistance with
travelling money and the time off for this next step. So, candidate seminar July 2015 here WE
come. I say we because each and every
one of you reading this, praying for me and supporting me is coming with me to
the next step in training as well as to the mission field when the time
comes. I am the feet on the ground, but the Lord and each of you are the strength and power behind me.
Thank you!!!!
Praying for all of you and remember
this Easter, HE IS RISEN!!!!
