Embracing Our Inability

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Embracing our inability is a prerequisite to embracing Christ’s ability.  Wow, stop and think about that for a moment.  We all have things we cannot do or situations that we cannot change, but do we really realize that God can do all of those things and much more.  I pray for each of you that you would embrace your inability as I try to learn to better embrace my own.
Lately, I have been praying a lot for wisdom and knowledge and what was shown to me in my studies was that Jesus is the wisdom.  In our relationship with Jesus we find wisdom and power.  I have been studying the doctrine of humanity and the example Jesus sets.  Jesus is the complete revelation of the image of God and we should pattern ourselves after Him.  We should emulate the love, devotion and dedication of Jesus.  We can only fully experience humanity when we are properly related to God and our satisfaction comes as a byproduct of our commitment to God.  So, we can find wisdom and knowledge by drawing near to Jesus.
The full time missionary process keeps moving along. I am not leaving anytime soon and I have not even been officially accepted yet.  Keep up the prayers.  The next step is an oral exam and interview on March 24th at 4:30.  They are flying someone down from headquarters for this.  When we first set the date I was honestly very anxious and freaking out a little.  As I studied and prayed and felt your prayers (I had shared with some of you previously) a peace came over me.  I am still a little nervous about the exam, but I know it is the next step I am supposed to take.  Please pray with me as I prepare for this exam and place March 24th on your calendars to pray for peace, wisdom, knowledge and clarity.

Thank you and may each of you gain wisdom as you draw near to our savior Jesus Christ.
